A Rant on Religion

I’m not one for religion. If you are, that’s awesome. I’m glad that you have such strong faith and truly find it admirable. However, I’m going to ask that you don’t ever, EVER try to force ANY of it on me.

What a Day

I was expecting today to be a bummer, but not anywhere near the level it actually was. First things first, my appointment for today was canceled. So instead of getting my tooth implant, I had to attend the first few hours of school, gap still present. Speaking of the first few hours, there were two tests packed into that time. The Economics test wasn’t that bad, but it was a test so it still sucked. But the English test… oh man, the English test. Well, I didn’t know any of it. And I don’t mean, “man I didn’t know any of that stuff, I just guessed on like half!” No, I literally didn’t know. I sat there for ten minutes staring at the screen thinking “shit.” Eventually I realized this was the best opportunity I would ever be given to “Christmas Tree” a test. Since it wasn’t a scantron, I drew an actual Christmas tree. (Side note, as I was going to lunch my teacher actually stopped me and said she enjoyed the picture and began laughing. Not sure if she was hiding her anger under her nice personality, I apologized for not having read and explained my goal of CT’ing a test and she continued laughing, so I think that went well minus the zero) After that, the day was pretty good. Until I got home. It was still good at first, I just got a new bed! Some people were putting it together as I got home, and finished shortly after. However, they were also doing something else that eluded my knowledge. In the one or two minutes in which my mom had come downstairs, they had jacked my Halo: Reach. Or so I thought, because I couldn’t figure out where it was. So I looked for about half an hour before realizing I was wrong. What actually happened was they took Halo: Reach AND Battlefield 3. Awesome. When my dad got home, he called the furniture company, who called the contractors that put together the bed, who called my dad and denied the (true) accusations, and it was all hectic. In the end, the man who was in charge (there were two, and it is completely possible that he truly didn’t take the games but that his coworker did) said that he would write a check for $140: $120 for the two games and $20 for the tip my mother had given them (yep, they looked my mother in the eyes and accepted her money after stealing from her, great guys). And because all of that still isn’t enough, the TV hadn’t been working all day. Which led to my dad calling the cable company almost immediately after finishing with the furniture/contractors.

In conclusion, I once again say What A Day.
